Explanation of proposed modifications to course: Remove Medical Terminology from this course. Add Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiography
Evidence for modification : Last year Medical Terminology was integrated into SGT 221, which overloaded this course. The students’ scores were low for the medical terminology portion. With only five students in this course, their medical terms Final Exam scores were 78%, 72%, 76%, 80%, 80%, these students normally score in the high 80’s & 90’s. The students verbalized that it did not benefit their understanding of Medical Terminology. It is important information and with 250 Medical terms should be a 3-credit, stand-alone course
Mode of Instruction: online
