Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Textile and Apparel: Fashion Illustration Specialist program is designed for students with an interest in illustrating for fashion design with advanced study and techniques used in drawing fashion figures and flats. Students complete a professional fashion illustration portfolio in a variety of media with various fabrics, textures, and patterns.

Program Competencies
1. Draw fashion figures and sketch garments on figures using drawing pencil, charcoal, ink wash, watercolor, pastels, felt tip/marker pens, colored pencils, and/or acrylics to experiment with different techniques used in fashion illustration. (TEC134)
2. Develop portfolio illustrations with flats and fabric swatches, using a variety of media. (TEC135)
3. Complete a final rendering using course techniques including silhouette, exaggeration, and prominent media style. (TEC136)
4. Render intricate fabrics such as lace, chiffon, sequins, border prints, gauze, and eyelet. (TEC136)
5. Use of computer-assisted design (CAD) in the fashion design industry. (TEC141)
6. Design, produce, and present a professional portfolio. (TEC236)
