Program Description: This degree is designed for Arizona School employees and provides specialized workplace skill enhancements to support progressive or lateral career options in school business administration. This Degree is open to Workforce and Arizona Association of School Business Officials (AASBO) members only.

Students must earn a minimum grade of "C" in each required course.
Students must earn a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Students must complete a minimum of 20 credits from CAC.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree requires a minimum of 64 credits.
Program Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Synthesis Level) Describe, explain, apply and critique positive human interaction skills as a supervisor and leader in the work environment.
2. (Evaluation Level) Describe basic budgetary and accounting principles and financial practices related to school business and create an annual budget.
3. (Evaluation Level) Outline and apply legal purchasing practices for school business and create a purchasing plan within a budget.
4. (Evaluation Level) Describe standard school food service operations and practices and develop improvement suggestions.
5. (Evaluation Level) Analyze, evaluate and explain risk management as it applies to school business officials and your areas of responsibility, then design plans to respond to emergencies.
6. (Synthesis Level) Describe and apply standard operating procedures and practices to cases related to maintenance and operations for school business officials and critique Operation Manuals.
7. (Evaluation Level) Describe, analyze and evaluate legal and ethical practices for dealing with personnel issues in school business.
8. (Evaluation Level) Explain, apply and critique the use of information technologies for school business officials.
9. (Evaluation Level) Describe and evaluate the practical issues for developing and implementing transportation plans for schools.
10.(Evaluation Level) Identify, explain and critique legislation related to school business and the impact of specific laws/bills on daily activities in the modern schools.
11. (Evaluation Level) Describe and evaluate student attendance policies and outcomes related to the implementation of those policies.

Standards for Program
Students will demonstrate all learning outcomes at a level of 75% or higher accuracy with physical demonstration of associated skills in an intern-type setting under the supervision of a person employed in the profession.
