Program Description: Heavy equipment operator's apprenticeship training sponsored by the Associated General Contractors for operation of heavy equipment to journeyman standards. The student must be sponsored by an AGC contractor to enroll in this program.

Other Requirements
Students must earn at least one-third of the certificate credits from CAC.
Students must earn a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Program Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment to industry standards.
2. (Evaluation Level) Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
3. (Evaluation Level) Perform grade work and move material to specifications identified by the National Center for Construction and Research.

Standards for Program

1. Complete Associated General Contractors Competency Profile Evaluation.
2. Complete hours of operating heavy equipment required by the AGC Apprenticeship Trust Committee.
