Description: Advanced course in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) computer technology for creation and documentation of advanced 2D drawings utilizing the most recent version of AutoCAD distributed by AutoDesk. Content to be covered includes learning the usage of Groups, Blocks, External Reference Files, and advanced text modifiers.

Prerequisites: DFT127 or instructor consent

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Synthesis Level) Develop advanced drawings through the usage of text settings to emphasize portions of drawing.

2. (Application Level) Demonstrate the usage of AutoCAD's built-in calculator to perform advanced techniques within the AutoCAD program.

3. (Comprehension Level) Explain the methods to convert drawings between metric and standard measurements standards and to identify the reason behind this process.

4. (Synthesis Level) Assemble a drawing through the usage of AutoCAD's Group tool.

6. (Analysis Level) Organize drawings through the usage of advanced Block techniques in order to categorize features through the usage of attributes to aid in the development of a Bill of Materials.
