Description: Introductory course in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) computer technology for creation and documentation of 2D drawings utilizing the most recent version of AutoCAD distributed by AutoDesk. Includes operation and capabilities of computers in CAD, drafting fundamentals, dimensioning, annotating, management of CAD files, and printing.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Implement steps to launch AutoCAD's Computer Aided Design (CAD) program.

2. (Application Level) Use AutoCAD to create 2D drawings per American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

3. (Synthesis Level) Create features in AutoCAD through the usage of coordinate entry and angle interpretation.

4. (Analysis Level) Deconstruct provided drawings to identify elements in order to recreate the drawing from learned skills.

5. (Knowledge Level) Reproduce steps to save and retrieve AutoCAD files using given file management protocols.

6. (Comprehension Level) Describe steps to reproduce AutoCAD drawings through printing and the reason for reproducing these documents.
