Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1.(Comprehension Level) Describe the foods that contain carbohydrates and the benefits of carbohydrate counting to someone with diabetes.
2.(Analysis Level) Differentiate how protein and fat affect blood glucose levels and identify the recommended serving sizes.
3. (Application Level) Utilize food labels as a tool for carbohydrate counting in order to plan meals and snacks.
4.(Evaluation Level) Evaluate insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios to control blood glucose levels.
