Description: This is a capstone course that includes community service learning project experience or possible internship for students completing degree requirements. Students develop career goals, professional job skills and collaborate as a team to research problems and critique actual local and global business community situations. Open to students who have successfully completed a minimum of 30 college credits.

Prerequisites: (CIS110 or CIS120), successful completion of 30 college credits.

Corequisites: None

Recommendations: Business Division Chair and instructor recommendations.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Demonstrate personal and job readiness skills in areas of communication and etiquette, goal setting, organizational management, business dress, customer service, networking, teamwork, leadership and ethics.

2. (Synthesis Level) Develop a career portfolio and a personal plan in the areas of communication skills, networking and job interview skills to transition successfully into the workforce or continue an educational course of study.

3. (Synthesis Level) Develop personal goals and contribute to meaningful participation in the activities, project presentations and writing assignments of the course.

4. (Analysis Level) Analyze current events that influence the business environment to develop awareness of impact on local, state and national businesses.

5. (Analysis Level) Analyze local political community events or situations and implications to the business environments.

6. (Synthesis Level) Prepare objectives, project timelines and appropriate research methods integrating applicable components of the business curriculum to generate individual as well as group or organization goals.

7. (Application Level) Exhibit collaborative team working skills throughout the group project or possible internship experiences.

8. (Evaluation Level) Critique the quality benchmarks for written and/or oral presentations of projects.
