Description: Practicum consisting of 45 hours of hands-on experience with emphasis on relaxation (Swedish) massage under the supervision of an instructor. Students must receive a grade of C or better to pass this course. Students who fail will not be allowed to repeat this course. Students who withdraw with instructor permission may retake this course only once with instructor permission.

Prerequisites: 1. Instructor Consent.
2. Mandatory requirements specific to LMT175L must be met before enrollment.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Demonstrate the skills required for effective relaxation (Swedish) massages, and body mechanics, draping, hygiene, sanitation and client safety.
2. (Application Level) Apply record keeping system for clients.
3. (Application Level) Demonstrate professionalism as it relates to client and co-worker communications, ethical, legal and liability issues.

This course has been developed using the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) recommended core curriculum and the Arizona State Requirements of 700-hour core curriculum for Massage Therapy.

At completion of the degree, the student will be eligible to take the NCBTMB Certification Examination and apply for AZ license in Massage Therapy.
