Description: Principles, processes, and requirements of school district procurement and materials management that transfers directly to the school business office. Overview of school district procurement rules, regulations, and statutes.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Knowledge Level) Identify and define the requirements for a legal procurement contract.
2. (Application Level) Apply the principles and processes for procurement below the competitive bidding threshold.
3. (Application Level) Apply the principles and processes for procurement at or above the competitive bidding threshold.
4. (Application Level) Apply the principles and processes for sole source and emergency procurement.
5. (Application Level) Apply the principles and processes for writing good procurement specifications and standards, per instructor's guidelines.
6. (Synthesis Level) Incorporate the principles and processes for materials management in school districts by integrating the needs assessment, consumption plan, budget approval, procurement, and inventory process/plan with a timeline.
