Description: Preventive maintenance practices focusing on basic equipment subsystems and major mechanical systems; scheduling and completion of routine inspections of equipment. Use of technical service literature, an array of special preventive maintenance service tools and safety are emphasized.

Prerequisites: Must be sponsored by an AGC Contractor.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Knowledge Level) Identify various safety precautions that should be considered while performing preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
2. (Comprehension Level) Explain why preventive maintenance is important to the longevity of heavy equipment.
