Description: An overview of strategies and techniques used to design, maintain, and market an early childhood program to families and community members.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Synthesis Level) Develop program goals based on a specific early childhood program philosophy.
2. (Synthesis Level) Develop program objectives based upon the program's goals in the areas of child development (social/emotional, cognitive, language, physical), developmentally appropriate environments and curriculum, and parent involvement.
3. (Analysis Level) Define and examine the role of the teacher and all staff, based upon the program philosophy, goals and objectives.
4. (Synthesis Level) Construct a developmentally appropriate indoor/outdoor environment by identifying equipment and choosing learning materials and supplies based upon the philosophy and goals of the program.
5. (Analysis Level) Organize a classroom schedule and develop a plan to group children, based upon the goals of the program and the needs of the children.
6. (Comprehension Level) Identify and summarize federal, state, local and regulatory laws required for program compliance.
7. (Synthesis Level) Develop a marketing plan by identifying and evaluating the types of public relations activities appropriate for an early childhood program.
