Description: A descriptive analysis of the structure and functioning of the American economy. Emphasis on basic economic institutions and factors that determine general levels of output, employment, income, and prices.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Comprehension Level) Describe and define the major concepts in economics and analyze major economic systems.
2. (Evaluation Level) Relate principles and summarize the determinants of supply and demand, and the effect on equilibrium price.
