Description: Practical application of accounting utilizing QuickBooks Pro®. Topics covered will include the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, payroll and inventory.

Prerequisites: ACC100 or ACC 201

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Demonstrate and explain the process of maintaining accounting records for a service enterprise.
2. (Comprehension Level) Summarize the steps to update accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
3. (Evaluation Level) Prioritize processes to maintain payroll records, create and print payroll checks, and print required government payroll reports.
4. (Synthesis Level) Create and maintain records for a merchandising enterprise including purchases and sales of inventory.
5. (Analysis Level) Examine inventory features of QuickBooks Pro® which includes creating purchase orders, analyzing stock status reports, receiving items ordered, entering and paying bills.
6. (Application Level) Illustrate end-of-period procedures such as fixed asset management, recording adjusting entries, preparing reconciliations, and making inventory adjustments.
7. (Application Level) Access and format reports that are useful in making sound business decisions.
8. (Synthesis Level) Explain and illustrate how to computerize a manual accounting system.
9. (Synthesis Level) Create a new set of financial records for a company using QuickBooks Pro®.
