Description: The LabVIEW Overview prepares students for the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) Certification Exam by reviewing key skills, knowledge, and abilities embedded in the LabVIEW course series. Prerequisite: MET264.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Evaluation Level) Identify and explain LabVIEW programming principles and use and upgrade scalable, readable, and maintainable LabVIEW applications.
2. (Evaluation Level) Describe, use, and evaluate how the LabVIEW environment interacts with other software, including professional user interfaces.
3. (Analysis Level) Use LabVIEW programming language to identify, explain, and analyze "while" and "for" loops, data types and structures, and arrays and clusters.
4. (Evaluation Level) Examine and evaluate existing code then modify the code to improve usability.
5. (Evaluation Level) Describe error handling, identify complex errors, explain and demonstrate resolution steps.
6. (Synthesis Level) Create LabVIEW software documentation to execute commands such as event planning and data logging.
7. (Evaluation Level) Identify and analyze stand-alone applications then prepare, build, and deploy stand-alone applications.
8. (Evaluation Level) Identify various LabVIEW structures to troubleshoot errors in design patterns, such as notifiers, queues, and events.
