Description: An introduction to the craft of various literary forms (creative non-fiction, poetry, and fiction) emphasizing readings, composing practice, and revising various creative pieces for an audience. Prerequisite: RDG094.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Comprehension Level) Discuss orally or in writing, published examples of literary poetry, short fiction and creative nonfiction.
2. (Comprehension Level) Describe orally or in writing, the unique characteristics of literary poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction.
3. (Analysis Level) Identify orally or in writing, literary concepts and techniques, such as characterization, imagery, voice, setting and storytelling.
