Description: Advanced Graphic Design expands experience with computer software, presents more complex design guidelines and type face rules, and offers complex design assignments. Students will pursue more individualized advanced projects. Prerequisite: MSC120.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Synthesis Level) Organize words and graphics into high quality single-page projects such as advertisements, flyers and tri-fold brochures and share in final portfolio.
2. (Synthesis Level) Organize words and graphics into high quality multi-page projects, such as magazines, newsletters and books and share in final portfolio.
3. (Synthesis Level) Explain the use of typefaces with creativity and restraint in printed design projects.
4. (Comprehension Level) Given a set of specific instructions, design pieces with clear, readable messages using rules of design and typography in projects.
5. (Analysis Level) Discuss the importance of design in America, comparing and contrasting designers in terms of their impact on American graphics.
