Description: Expanded operation of heavy equipment to include interpreting blueprints, staking, and estimating costs, using technology to conduct research, and constructing more complex projects. Prerequisites: HEO121 and a valid driver license.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) Demonstrate knowledge of all safety rules when using, loading, moving, and working on all pieces of heavy equipment.
2. (Application Level) Use proper start-up and shut-down procedures for heavy equipment including motor graders, wheel loaders, tractor-mounted backhoe, trucks, crawler tractors, scrapers and other heavy equipment.
3. (Evaluation Level) Construct a project using given plans, directions and equipment.
4. (Application Level) Interpret blueprints and physically stake a job accordingly.
5. (Evaluation Level) Create estimated and actual cost reports for a given job.
6. (Application Level) Use technology for research and job searches.
