Description: Multiple elements of digital cameras and the software program Adobe Photoshop. Learn new computer skills, how to use a digital camera, the aesthetic principles of photo composition and the fundamentals of manipulating photos by computer.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application Level) use a professional quality digital camera to create well thought-out photos, including landscapes, portraits, action shots and architectural images.
2. (Comprehension Level) describe the many varied controls on digital cameras that influence light, color, focus and composition of photo.
3. (Application Level) operate professional standard software Adobe Photoshop to effectively alter images.
4. (Knowledge Level) show dexterity in web-searches, downloading material from the web, loading software and photos.
5. (Synthesis Level) create images in various lighting conditions and control resolution of images for various mediums including websites and publications
6. (Synthesis Level) modify and manipulate photos from various sources into seamless montages and entirely new images.
7. (Knowledge Level) recognize the works of both contemporary and historical photographers.
