Description: Advanced equipment operation of all major earth moving machinery, emphasizing preparation for final performance evaluation.

Prerequisites: Student must be sponsored by an AGC contractor to enroll.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes will be applied separately to all machines used in the AGC Operators Apprenticeship program:
1. (Mechanism level) Perform prestart walk around inspections.
2. (Application level) Demonstrate proper procedures of machine startup and shut down.
3. (Application level) Safely perform basic operational procedures.
4. (Application level) Demonstrate correct operation of each piece of equipment.
5. (Mechanism level) Display proficiency completing assigned soil movement tasks.

Per National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Standards; URL: http://www.nccer.org/assessments.aspx:
1. Successfully complete Operator Competency Profile Evaluation of identified tasks at a minimum of a level IV on all assigned machines.
2. Complete all required time cards and listing of work performed.
3. File on-the-job hours report.
4. Design, layout, and construct an earth moving project using a variety of equipment.
5. Incorporate all skills at an advanced level from safety, soils, grades and supervisory classes into overall lab operations.
