Description: Hands-on operator training on scrapers, front end loaders, dump and water trucks.

Prerequisites: Student must be sponsored by an AGC contractor to enroll.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
SCRAPERS:
1. (Synthesis Level) Perform basic earth moving and excavation with the scraper.

FRONT-END LOADERS II:
2. (Synthesis Level) Perform basic earth moving maneuvers with a front-end loader II.

DUMP TRUCKS:
3. (Synthesis Level) Perform all operational moves.
4. (Synthesis Level) Perform engaging and disengaging power take off (PTO).

WATER TRUCKS:
5. (Synthesis Level) Perform all operational moves.

1. Successfully complete Operator Competency Profile valuation of identified tasks at a minimum of a level III on all assigned machines.
2. Complete all required time cards and listing of work performed.

SCRAPERS:
4. Performance profile tasks. Students will:
a) Demonstrate proper pre-start inspections of a scraper.
b) Perform proper start-up and shut-down of a scraper.
c) Perform the basic loading, dumping and spreading of materials with the scraper.
d) Perform the task of stripping and building a stockpile.
e) Perform the task of cutting and spreading to a specified depth.

FRONT-END LOADERS II:
5. Load materials into a dump truck.
6. Maintain stock pile and loading area.

DUMP TRUCKS:
7. Perform correctly the procedure of backing and dumping the load.
8. Perform correctly the positioning of the truck to be loaded.

WATER TRUCKS:
9. Perform correctly the procedure of filling a water truck.
10. Perform correctly the engaging and disengaging of the PTO.
11. Perform correctly the procedure of driving the truck and spreading water on an area.
