(Knowledge) Select appropriate colors for lighting looks. 5. (Application) Program and operate a standard computerized lighting control console. 6. (Synthesis) Develop a lighting design for a performance act using a small/medium concert/theatrical lighting system. |
Internal/External Standards Accreditation |
1. Based on a lighting plot, create a lighting plan for a performance area.
2. Assemble hang, circuit, and fly a concert lighting truss, as well as other lighting devices according to industry safety standards. 3. Position and configure the lighting instruments and accessories for a lighting design, per the director's specifications. 4. Properly incorporate color into a carefully documented light design of a scene from a play, musical or concert that reflects the physiological, time of day, dramatic, and/or mixing effects of color. 5. Accurately program and operate a standard computerized lighting control console. 6. Create a proper image of light and lighting key in a carefully documented quality product using the design process. 7. Correctly prepare a carefully documented, quality product using generally accepted drafting (mechanical or automated) procedures and adhering to symbol guidelines accepted by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) (www.usitt.org). |
