2. (Knowledge Level) Describe the process to trim stage curtains and scenery for a performance. 3. (Knowledge Level) Discuss the process to construct multi-dimensional stage scenery or properties for a college production. 4. (Comprehension Level) Identify and explain the methods to properly mix and apply paint to two and three dimensional stage scenery 5. (Comprehension Level) Identify and explain the methods to hang and focus stage lighting instruments as depicted on a lighting plot for a performance. 6. (Application Level) Apply stagecraft skills to set up microphones and an intercom system for a performance. 7. (Application/Psychomotor:Complex Overt Response) Operate stage sound, lighting, scenery, and curtain equipment. |
Internal/External Standards Accreditation |
1. Demonstrate appropriate safety measures in the theater 100% of the time.
2. Operate stage rigging equipment and trim stage curtains without supervision. 3. Construct the stage scenery or properties according to the specified plans with minimum supervision from the instructor. 4. Properly mix and apply paint to scenery with a minimum of supervision from instructor. 5. Independently demonstrate the ability to hang and focus lighting instruments according to the design plan provided by the instructor. 6. Set up microphones and an intercom system for performances and events without the assistance of the instructor. 7. First-time students will participate in at least six hours of production experience by planning, setting up, operating one or more pieces of stage equipment, and clearing the stage after a performance or event. Second-time students will accomplish this without any assistance from the instructor. |
