Description: Organization and function of a fire prevention bureau including familiarization with state and local laws and ordinances, codes and principles of fire prevention, the inspector's job and public relations. Fundamentals of fire prevention, including techniques, procedures, regulations and enforcement. Course includes discussion of hazards in ordinary and special occupancies, and field trips and lectures from industry.
