Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Application) Demonstrate and explain the benefits, functions and theory of corporate chair massage in public settings, sports massage, and Trager massage.
2. (Application) Demonstrate and explain the benefits, functions and theory for range of motion and stretching exercises.
3. (Comprehension) Explain the function, theory, and benefits of each of the bodywork strokes.
4. (Application) Demonstrate fundamentals of body mechanics while giving a massage.
5. (Comprehension) Describe the medical terminology and anatomy involved with joint movement.
6. (Application) Demonstrate draping, hygiene, sanitation, safety and professional decorum during a massage.

A. Corporate chair massage in public settings.
B. Sports massage for pre-event, intra-event (restorative), post-event, and rehabilitative sporting event.
C. Trager massage techniques, philosophy and benefits.
2. Demonstrate and explain accurately the benefits, functions and theory for effective range of motion and stretching exercises.
3. Explain correctly the function, theory, and benefits of each of the bodywork strokes used in chair massage, sports massage, Trager massage, and range of motion and stretching.
4. Demonstrate correctly fundamentals of proper body mechanics while giving a massage to prevent body strain and injuries.
5. Describe accurately the medical terminology and anatomy involved with joint movement for chair massage, sports massage, Trager massage, and range of motion and stretching.
6. Properly drape the client during a massage employing appropriate hygiene, sanitation, universal precautions, safety and professional decorum.

This course has been designed to meet the requirements of the Arizona Board of Massage Therapy.
