Description: Hands-on learning to further develop skills through employer based experiences. Students will work in an office environment utilizing the information, skills, and software taught throughout the program. This is an unpaid practicum.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. (Knowledge Level) Identify practicum employers basic office services/practices.
2. (Comprehension Level) Discuss the expectations of employers within an office environment.
3. (Comprehension Level) Identify practicum employer's everyday office running procedures.
4. (Comprehension Level) Summarize basic common office procedures.
5. (Application Level) Apply knowledge and skills to complete basic office services within the scope of practicum employers business domain.
6. (Application Level) Solve basic and common everyday office questions and difficulties.
7. (Application Level) Produce office related materials in preferred format of practicum employer.
8. (Analysis Level) Explain practicum employer's office rules and regulations.
9. (Analysis Level) Organize work day to accomplish practicum job responsibilities.
10. (Evaluation Level) Estimate time it will take to accomplish a practicum's job responsibilities.
Internal/External Standards Accreditation
1. Meet with practicum instructor on a weekly basis outside of classroom instruction.
2. Discuss and problem solve employment experiences with fellow students during classroom time.
3. Write a paper detailing practicum experiences, pros and cons, what was learned during the job experience, and what, if anything, could be added to enhance the experience.
4. Participate in a minimum of 112 contact hours to complete the lab component of the practicum.
5. Follow all practicum employers rules and regulations throughout the practicum course; confirmed by employer's evaluation.
6. Meet with instructor and practicum supervisor for a final evaluation.
