1. (Comprehension Level) Explain how the shrinkage and swell of soils affect excavating and grading operations.

2. (Knowledge Level) Identify the different methods of measuring quantities of soils.

3. (Comprehension Level) Describe the relationship between soil density and compaction requirements.

4. (Comprehension Level) Describe the requirements for handling and combining different types of materials used in highway construction.
Internal/External Standards Accreditation
1. Successfully complete Soils II Module Examination #22207 at the end of class with a score of at least 70%.
