Description: Aerobic workout using martial arts techniques. This course covers upper and lower body conditioning , stretching techniques, safety, and nutrition. May be taken four times for credit.

Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
1. Increase cardiovascular endurance.
2. Increase muscle strength and tone upper and lower body by doing the weaving and bobbing techniques of martial arts.
3. Strengthen abdominal muscles with use of floor exercise techniques.
4. Employ safety measures when doing all movements.
Internal/External Standards Accreditation
1. Increase personal target heart rate from the percentage taken at the beginning of each class to a higher percentage taken after completing a 20-30 minute cardio workout.
2. Increase weights by 5-10 pounds from beginning of class to end of class.
3. Demonstrate strength increase by 10 repetitions in each set of floor exercise techniques.
4. Demonstrate use of safety techniques in exercise activities with no errors.
