Description: Provides a detailed explanation and discussion of the two most common competitive purchasing methodologies: competitive sealed bids and competitive sealed proposals.

Prerequisites: SBO125 & SBO190; or SBO125A; or equivalent on the job exp.

Corequisites: None

Recommendations: Recomended by the Arizona Association of School Business Officials Professional Development and Standards committee's.

1. Describe the public procurement process and required documents for school districts.
2. Explain the two most common competitive purchasing methodologies: competitive sealed bids and competitive sealed proposals.
3. Apply the rules, regulations and principles that govern competitive sealed bids and competitive sealed proposals.
4. Explain contract award and administration of award.
5. Resolve contract protests and controversies.
