Description: Basic reporting and writing skills, Associated Press editing style, and the organizational structure for news will be covered in order to assist in the production of the school newspaper, The Cactus. Stories will be produced with an emphasis on accuracy, newsworthiness, deadlines, objectivity, and fairness. Prerequisites: RDG 100, ENG 101. Corequisites: ENG 102. May be taken two times for credit.

Fundamentals of journalism
