Description: A tour of the music industry outside the metropolitan Phoenix area. Includes a variety of experiences and activities to enhance awareness of professional opportunities and careers.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe day-to-day activities as well as behind-the-scenes activities of the music industry. (I)
2. Identify and evaluate various career options in the field of the music industry. (I, II)
3. Identify in a daily journal key points from each activity that might aid a person in succeeding in a career related to the music industry. (II)
4. Demonstrate networking abilities by participation in discussions of daily activities during tour and individual appointments and interviews. (III)
5. Identify current trends in the marketplace. (IV)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
