Description: Basic musical notational system with emphasis on note reading, staff placement, meter, rhythmic patterns, basic harmonic patterns, chords and chord symbols, lead sheet forms, scales and keys

4. Identify and construct Major and minor scales. (IV)

7. Identify and construct basic harmonic patterns. (VII)
