Description: Conceptual and computational aspects of a special topic in modern mathematics



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Present an overview of the special topic and explain its relevance to mathematics and/or its application to other areas. (I)
2. Identify and implement strategies to solve mathematical problems related to the special topic. (I)
3. Use numerical tables, formulas, visual representations, and/or words to describe a mathematical idea or relationship in the special topic area. (I)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
