Description: Field trips to selected geological areas in Arizona in order to collect and/or observe geological phenomena. Designed for pre-college teachers



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Collect geological materials and/or observe geological phenomena useful for pre-college teaching. (I)
2. Record geological information pertaining to rock, mineral, and fossil specimens. (II)
3. Describe the significance and/or history of geological localities. (I, II, III)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
