Description: Introduction to verse, storytelling, books and bookmaking for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Information as well as storybooks considered



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the importance of talking to the young child from the earliest days. (I)
2. Describe criteria for selection of books for use with the infant, toddler, and preschooler. (II)
3. Describe effective techniques for sharing verse, stories and books with the young child. (III)
4. Construct and field test books for the infant, toddler and preschooler. (IV)
