2. Identify individual differences and family values that may influence beginning scientific thinking in young children. (I) 3. Indicate the importance of scientific thinking to the future of the modern American child. (I) 4. Describe how scientific thinking begins in young children according to the theory of Jean Piaget. (II) 5. Identify and describe a variety of areas for curriculum development to encourage scientific thinking in young children.(III) 6.
