Description: Advanced skill development of graphic design through use of microcomputer. Emphasis on computer design for producing all types of camera-ready advertising art for printed matter and package design. Includes illustration, typography, photoimaging, and color separation



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Utilize computer techniques of photo-cropping and scaling with emphasis on the correct handling of scanned and digitized images. (I)
2. Use appropriate software to design a camera-ready, multi-fold brochure that includes style specification, line art work, scaling, halftones, and color separations on the computer. (II)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
