Description: Advanced sculpture problems and professional practices



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Develop a concept for a sculpture and establish aesthetic and technical goals to be achieved by this work. (I)
2. Select an appropriate medium for the concept and establish the technique to be used in the production of the sculpture. (II)
3. Identify and describe the works of other artists who have used the medium and/or technique.(II)
4. Select and use appropriate materials, tools, and procedures to produce a completed sculpture.(III)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
