3. Explain how to accommodate for movement and proper structural support. (VI, VII)
4. Explain the importance of providing passage for mechanical and electrical services. (VIII)
5. Explain the importance of providing for heath and safety and the aging of a building. (IX)
6. Explain the importance of providing for ease of assembly and effective use of construction resources. (X)
7. Describe the role of detailing in enhancing the aesthetic qualities of a building. (XI)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work. Please see individual course syllabi for additional information, including specific course requirements.
