Description: Command structure, individual responsibilities, and types of equipment and tactics used in law enforcement tactical operations



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Describe the qualifications desirable of a member of a tactical team. (I)

3. Describe the tactics for a successful search warrant service. (III)
4. Describe tactics that can be implemented for arresting a violent offender. (IV)
5. Describe the threat level protection afforded by the various ballistic shields and body armor. (V)
6. Describe the different lethal weapons commonly used by law enforcement tactical teams. (V)
7. Describe the different less lethal options commonly used by law enforcement tactical teams. (V)
8. List the different types of chemical agents used by law enforcement agencies. (V)
9. Describe tactics to be used during rescue operations. (VI)
10. List the protective equipment required for serving a search warrant on a clandestine lab. (VII)
11. Describe the responsibilities of the various positions on a tactical team and the equipment requirements for each position. (VIII)
