Description: Overview of computer systems for Tour Sales Representatives. Includes computer familiarization, Direct Reference System (DRS), and Tour Record Locator (TRL)



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Explain the importance of the computer as a sales tool. (I)
2. Locate the function keys, main keys, editing keys, and the calculator on the keyboard, and list each of the function keys` purpose. (I)
3. Log in and out on the computer, and respond to screen prompters and error messages. (I)
4. Explain the purpose of the Direct Reference System (DRS), and list the four levels of specification. (II)
5. Access subjects in the DRS, and define common codes found in the DRS. (II)
6. Perform Quickpath entries, and use reference words to access the index and other information. (II)
7. Describe each piece of information on a completed Tour Record Locator (TRL). (III)
8. Modify an existing TRL. (III)
