Description: Critical inquiry of a particular aviation theme from a wide variety of sources. Structured to provide an atmosphere of individualized research and study paralleled by professional expertise and guidance. International data communication facilities and equipment made available for student use



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Determine subject based on personal interest and relevance to aviation. (I)
2. Select appropriate resources to research the subject. (II)
3. Obtain and use materials and information identified through the search process. (II)
4. Prepare, arrange, and conduct interviews with subject matter experts. (III)
5. Evaluate sources and draw conclusions. (III)
6. Develop a comprehensive outline. (IV)
7. Complete a formal paper demonstrating competency in gathering, interpreting, and evaluating material. (IV)
8. Describe results of the research process and defend conclusions. (V)
