Description: Study of perspective, rendering and drawing techniques for use in advertising layout and composition in black and white and color for printed matter and publications



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify art produced by various printing processes. (I)
2. Produce professional quality production art for multi-color printing, utilizing both spot and process color. (II, III, IV)
3. Use the Pantone matching system. (III)
4. Describe technique of color theory and color separation. (IV)
5. Produce professional quality halftones. (V)
6. Explain how the personal computer is related to traditional production techniques. (V, VII)
7. Produce a color key proof and explain other industry standard proofing systems. (VI)
