Statewide Update: The transfer of community colleges to Universities in 2017-2018 have gone down. 2017-2018 had 600 students less than in 2016-2017. This was noted in part to do with economic stress.

In terms of Sociology majors, out of the 3,034 students that graduated with SOC degrees, 873 came from community colleges.
University Curricular updates: The professors did not state there respectable universities in the meeting but a couple noted that SOC enrollment is down and students seem to be more interested in majoring in Psychology than
Sociology.

Community college Curricular Updates: PIMA is building their pathways which is a big undertaking. They lost 2 out of 3 full-time sociology faculty.

Maricopa's pathways is done but need approval next month.
Suggested changes to matricies: None, "Mohave" prefix is fine. Mohave's courses are relevant and has not changed the social science behavior degree.

Mohave's SOC courses align with the universities and are transferring well.
Volunteering: No, Dr. Sharon Yee from Maracopa CC will host in 2019.
Additional Comments: The AZ transfer summit is being held on April 4 & 5, 2019

A couple participants complained about "concurrent enrollment" at their institutions.
