Statewide Update: | There was quite a bit of discussion about common pathways concerning Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, First Year Composition and Medical Terminology. The discussion continued with Foundations of Healthcare Delivery and Math requirements.
Phoenix College was highlighted as a great example of a "one stop" shop. Several colleges discussed newer options where students can start with common classes and then split off to disciplines. For the most part, this was for certificates. There was little conversation about Achieve60AZ to increase education attainment in Arizona to 60% by 2030. One school is looking at more selective admissions processes, with the idea that lost or no degree plan students would not be as lost. Maricopa is trying to increase their workforce development, through certificates and degrees. |
