Biology majors study the history, development, and interaction of living organisms on Earth. In this field, students will gain experience in specialty areas such as field biology, environmental biology, physiology, botany, zoology, dentistry, and medicine. Students completing a bachelor's degree in biology are prepared to attend medical school and graduate schools. Students can also emphasize in teaching and obtain certification to teach biology in Arizona public schools.
The general education component of this degree is a 35 unit block called the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). You must complete the AGEC-S.
