Mathematics majors study the science of problem solving. Math is the foundation of understanding our physical world and is a major component of many disciplines including physical and social science, business, engineering, marketing, education, law, and more. Coursework in a math major includes subjects such as applied math, probability and statistics, computational math, and engineering math. Graduates with a math degree are qualified for a wide range of careers as analysts, research, surveying, and more.
