Geography majors not only learn about physical geography, but they also study social and environmental science principles to explore the effects of humanity on landscapes. Community planning and urban design coursework equip students to solve real-world problems and lead to careers in developing sustainable communities. Students learn about GIS mapping technologies, cartographic information systems, and gain experience in laboratory work.

The general education component of this degree is a 35 unit block called the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). You must complete the AGEC-A.
