Film majors may study film production or may study, analyze, and criticize film and media. Film production majors utilize digital cameras, lighting and sound equipment, post-production resources and produce a final project. Film production majors can focus on directing, producing, or on media technology itself. Students majoring in Film and Media studies will learn skills needed to interpret and create media texts such as screenplays and will be prepared to pursue industry careers as executives, producers, and writers.

The general education component of this degree is a 35 unit block called the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). You must complete the AGEC-A.
