Ethnic Studies

Transfer Tools Home

Ethnic studies majors study diversity among ethnic and racial groups and First Nations. Students explore diversity through topics such as historical memory, indigeneity, school achievement patterns, access to health and other social systems, political and personal identity, gender roles, economic attainment, and more. Through an ethnic studies program, students will also incorporate and apply broader subjects such as public health, political science, literature, and history.

The general education component of this degree is a 35 unit block called the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). You must complete the AGEC-A.
